Profenofos 40% + Cypermethrin 4% EC is a powerful combination insecticide designed to provide broad-spectrum control of various pests in a range of agricultural crops.

How it works

Profenofos (40%): An organophosphate insecticide that works by inhibiting acetylcholinesterase, an enzyme critical for nerve function in insects. This leads to an accumulation of acetylcholine at nerve synapses, causing overstimulation, paralysis, and death of the pest.

Cypermethrin (4%): A synthetic pyrethroid that disrupts the normal functioning of the insect’s nervous system by affecting sodium channels, causing hyperexcitation of nerve cells, leading to paralysis and death.

The combination provides both contact and systemic activity, offering rapid knockdown and residual control, while effectively managing resistant pest populations.

Uses

This formulation is effective against a variety of pests, including aphids, whiteflies, caterpillars, and termites in crops such as cotton, vegetables, rice, and fruits. It is particularly useful for controlling both foliar and soil pests.
