BETADA
Bispyribac Sodium 10% SC is a selective post-emergence herbicide used to control a wide range of grassy and broadleaf weeds in rice fields. It is known for its effectiveness in managing weeds without harming the rice crop, making it ideal for weed management in paddy fields.
How it works
Bispyribac Sodium works by inhibiting acetolactate synthase (ALS), an enzyme crucial for the synthesis of branched-chain amino acids in plants. By blocking this enzyme, Bispyribac Sodium disrupts protein synthesis, leading to the death of target weeds. It is absorbed by the leaves and translocated to the growing points of the weeds, effectively controlling them.
Uses
Bispyribac Sodium 10% SC is used to control:
Grassy weeds such as Echinochloa (barnyard grass), Leptochloa, and others in rice fields.
Broadleaf weeds such as Alternanthera and Eclipta species.
It is particularly effective for use in paddy rice cultivation to manage weeds without adversely affecting the rice crop.
Packaging
BETADA is available in pack sizes of 1 L, 500 ml, and 250 ml.
