DEMISE
Atrazine 50% WP is a selective herbicide primarily used to control broadleaf and grassy weeds in various crops, particularly in maize and sugarcane. It is a widely used pre-emergence and post-emergence herbicide in agricultural fields.
How it works
Atrazine works by inhibiting photosynthesis in the target weeds. It specifically blocks the electron transport chain in the chloroplasts of the plant, preventing the production of energy required for growth. This causes the weeds to starve and eventually die. It is absorbed by the roots and leaves of plants, making it effective in both pre-emergence and post-emergence weed control.
Uses
Atrazine 50% WP is used to control a broad range of weeds, including:
Broadleaf weeds such as pigweed, lambsquarters, and dandelions.
Grassy weeds like crabgrass, foxtail, and wild oats.
It is commonly used in maize (corn), sugarcane, and turfgrass, as well as in non-crop areas such as roadsides and industrial sites.
Atrazine also provides effective pre-emergence weed control, preventing weed growth before seeds can germinate.
Packaging
DEMISE is available in pack sizes of 1 kg and 500 g .
