Herbicides
KATAAR
Oxyfluorfen 23.5% EC is a selective herbicide widely used for pre-emergence and early post-emergence weed control. It is effective against broadleaf weeds and some grasses in a variety of crops and non-crop areas. Its residual action provides extended weed control, ensuring better crop growth.
How it works
Oxyfluorfen acts by inhibiting the protoporphyrinogen oxidase (PPO) enzyme, which is essential for chlorophyll synthesis in plants. This disruption leads to the accumulation of toxic compounds, causing cellular damage, and eventually killing the weeds. It is absorbed by the roots and leaves of weeds, making it effective in both pre-emergence and post-emergence stages.
Uses
Oxyfluorfen 23.5% EC is commonly used to control:
Broadleaf weeds such as amaranthus, pigweed, and lambsquarters.
Grassy weeds like crabgrass and barnyard grass.
Suitable for use in vegetables (onion, garlic, tomatoes), field crops (cotton, wheat), and orchards (citrus, grapes, and pomegranates).
Also applied in non-crop areas like roadsides, industrial zones, and railway tracks.
Packaging
KATAAR is available in pack sizes of 1 L, 500 ml, and 250 ml.
