METAZEB

Metalaxyl 8% + Mancozeb 64% WP is a combination fungicide that provides broad-spectrum control of a variety of fungal diseases in agricultural crops. It combines the systemic action of Metalaxyl with the contact action of Mancozeb for enhanced effectiveness.

How it works

Metalaxyl (8%): A systemic fungicide that inhibits fungal growth by interfering with the biosynthesis of RNA in the pathogen, preventing the fungus from reproducing and spreading. It is absorbed by the plant and provides protection from within.

Mancozeb (64%): A contact fungicide that disrupts the enzymes involved in fungal respiration and cell division, effectively killing the fungal pathogens on contact. It prevents the spread of fungal spores and offers a protective barrier on the plant’s surface.

The combination of these two active ingredients ensures both systemic and surface-level protection against fungal diseases.

Uses

Metalaxyl 8% + Mancozeb 64% WP is highly effective against a wide range of fungal diseases, including downy mildew, late blight, root rot, and leaf spot, in crops such as potatoes, tomatoes, grapes, cucumbers, and other vegetables and fruits. It is especially useful in controlling oomycete pathogens (such as Phytophthora and Pythium) and a variety of other fungal pathogens.
